Our needs / A.Z. Baker.
Description: page 27 In: Rotary Club of Manila. The Rotary Balita No. 775 to 799Summary: OUR NEEDS We need understanding of Rotary, its purpose, its object; and its simple ideal of thoughtful, helpful service; understanding of the possibilities for extending Rotary into more countries, more communities and more men. We need understanding of the paramount importance of putting Rotary to work where we work, in the fulfillment of Rotary s fundamental objective. We need understanding of Rotarians, their wives and families in their communities; understanding of the economic, social, educational, recreational and other needs of their communities, and of the means by which Rotarians can make their communities better places in which to live, raise their families and engage in their business and professions. We need understanding of the youth of our communities and their need for companionship, guidance and opportunity for development and understanding of the necessity for insuring the future by the development of the youth of the present. But more than anything else we need understanding of the differences between people and nations; understanding of the desperate and urgent need for the development of goodwill and understanding of the possibilities of advancing understanding and goodwill through this world fellowship of business and professional men.
