The Rotary Balita no. 796 (May 10, 1956)

This is one of the most important of our many committees. Its function is to feed the growing Rotarians with the facts of Rotary in such a way that they may be readily assimilated to the end that every member of the Club may be well informed, be able to make his own life stronger, his contribution to the Club and community more valuable, his influence for peace and justice in the world more eloquent. During the early weeks of the membership of the new Rotarian is this function most important, so that he be imbued from the very start with those attitudes that make Rotary. Through these channels he learns the duties and responsibilities of Rotarians, the joys that come as together we perform our tasks. He learns of the past history and glorious achievements of Rotary, basks in the growing realization that Rotary is an ever-expanding force, destined to make the whole world better. If there has been a weak spot in our past experience, it has been that we have taken the responsibilities of the Rotary Information Committee too lightly.
