District conference February 5th, 6th, 7th

Description: page 8-9 In: Rotary Club of Manila. The Rotary Balita No. 724 to 748Summary: Our cover today presents Manila Rotarian Ted Hall, past district governor who has been appointed representative of the President of Rotary International to our district conference to be held in Baguio on February 5th, 6th, 7th. We have published in our last issue the call to Baguio written by able district conference chairman, Ben Salvosa. We know that all the preparations are underway to make the district conference an outstanding success and so we wish to remind our fellow Rotarians in Manila that this is a great opportunity to enjoy again the fellowship of the Rotarians in this district who will participate in the district conference. All the Clubs have been reminded thru the pages of the official publication of the Rotary Club of Baguio "The Cañao" to send the list of members together with their photographs, the number of Rotarians desiring hotel reservations and to remit P5.00 levy for every member of the Club whether they plan to attend the conference or not. The Pines Hotel has been selected as the headquarters of the district conference and the registration fee will be P30.00 for Rotarians and P20.00 for Rotary Anns. Meal tickets will be sold to guests of Rotarians. As host club, the Rotary Club of Baguio has made arrangements for three meals and one reception and ball and as to hotel accommodations, the Pines Hotel alone is good for 280 while other hotels can accommodate at least 500 guests. We are sure that Manila Rotarians will take full advantage of this opportunity of visiting Baguio again and joining the deliberation and resolutions of this important Rotary affair. The appointment of Ted Hall to the important assignment of President's representative and main speaker in the conference has been most welcome by Rotarians all over the district. The organization of the conference under the able hands of incumbent Governor Art Ilagan, Ben Salvosa as chairman and Bien Yandoc as Secretary, offer sufficient guaranty to the expected success of our 11th district conference.
