Editor's contest: what is your definition of Rotary?
Description: page 19 In: Rotary Club of Manila. The Rotary Balita No. 724 to 748Summary: JUNE 10TH DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING ENTRIES. One of the Rotarians who has participated in the contest wrote to us the following letter in submitting his entry: "I have the honor to enclose herewith the original copy of 'My Concept of Rotary The Way I See Rotary,' the simplest definition I could have thought of for our great world-wide organization. "This is in compliance with your announced 'contest' for Rotary definition, conducted under the sponsorship of the Publication Committee, Rotary Club of Manila, and open to all Rotarians in the District. "With the contest you are now conducting I fully believe that you can gather from the cross-section of our Rotary population many new outlook for Rotary, which Rotarians will submit, not so much for the contest prizes as for the concept of our organization resulting from their Rotary indoctrination. I am submitting mine under this category." The fine spirit of this fellow Rotarian should be an inspiration to those who have not yet submitted their entry. In each of these definitions there must be a lesson that can be spread to teach to everyone the principles and aims of our organization. No matter how much there has been said, it is always useful to remind everyone of the unselfish motives and the high ideals which inspired our Rotary. Send your entries on time and do this additional service to Rotary. We remind all the Rotarians in the District for the last time the rules of the contest which are: 1. Entries should be submitted not later than June 10, 1954. 2. Entries should not be over 75 typewritten lines. 3. The contest is open to all Rotarians in the Philippines. 4. Prizes will be distributed in Manila by President Danding on June 24, 1954.Item type | Current library | Call number | Status | Barcode | |
