The Rotary Balita no. 743 (April 8, 1954)

The Rotary Club of Manila has just elected a new set of officers for this year. In "Gene" Puyat, the new president, it has entrusted the leadership of Rotary in young hands. "Gene" and his board of directors, composed of some of the most capable and most civic spirited members of our organization, deserve the wholehearted cooperation of each and every Rotarian. Rotary is a service club and as in the past "Service Above Self" will be the key- stone of its projects and activities. At a time when the entire nation has put its shoulder to the wheel with new enthusiasm, Rotary can do no less than contribute its share in the tradition of leadership and civic spirit which has made it an institution in our community life.
