Strengthening Pakistan-Philippine Relations

75th Pakistan National Day, celebrated at the Pakistani Ambassador's residence in Makati City, Ambassador Safdar Hayat recalled the Lahore Resolution, which allowed the nation to achieve a separate homeland where they could live according to their religious values, cultures and traditions in a just and free society.

According to the Ambassador, Pakistan values its relationship with the Philippines, considered as an important element in their "Vision East Asia Policy" aimed at enhancing relations with the whole region in various fields. Incidentally, the Philippines happens to be Ambassador Hayat's first ambassadorial assignment, and he happily notes how the support and cooperation he has been getting has facilitated his work to a great extent, and that he looks forward to deeper and stronger friendly relations between Pakistan and the Philippines.
