October 18, 2016

Pres. CHARLES K.F. CHEUNG, Rotary Club of Bangkok

Dear Pres Cheung,

The Board of Directors, Officers and Membership of Rotary Club of Manila condole with our sister club – the Rotary Club of Bangkok and the Thai people for the demise of His Majesty Bhumidol Adulyadej, The Great, King of Thailand, known to the Thai people and Overseas Filipino Workers as the beloved Father of Thailand.

We shall include a prayer for the eternal repose of the soul of King Bhumidol The Great, during the Thursday luncheon meeting of October 20, 2016.

Our prayers, Pres TEODORO J. OCAMPO, Rotary Year 2016-2017, Rotary Club of Manila

Dear President Teodoro,

It was very nice of you to think of us in this time of sadness. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers. His Majesty, is the father of Thailand and a major figure in modern Asian history. His legacy is being honored all around the world. Rotarians should remember that His Majesty is the Royal Patron of Rotary in Thailand.

Despite this heartbreaking news, the best way for us to honor His Majesty is to follow in his footsteps. His wise counsel and devotion to human development will always be an inspiration to us all.

With regards, Charles Cheung, President 2016-17, Rotary Club of Bangkok
