RCM Pres. “Jimmie” Policarpio and RCT Pres. “Saira” Mandia calls the 20th meeting, a joint meeting between Rotary Club of Manila (RCM) and its Daughter Rotary Club of Tondo (RCT), Manila, to order.

BIR Commissioner Caesar Dulay gave Manila Rotarians, Tondo Rotarians, Visiting Rotarians and guests, a glimpse into the thrusts, plans and programs of his office such as the Run After Tax Evaders (RATE) and “Oplan Kandado” programs; comprehensive taxpayer profiling and industry benchmarking; updating of zonal value schedules, and broadening of the tax base without increasing the rates by registering unregistered taxpayers/businesses; centralized arrears management in regional offices, and adherence to the cross-border agreements on exchange of information, among others.

A proactive public forum followed suit after the speech of Commissioner Caesar R. Dulay with RCMers’ raising questions: PP Boy Guevara, Rtn. Joel Valdes, Rtn. Jess Santos, DE Raffy Alunan III, Rtn. Colin Patterson, Rtn. Ricky Trinidad, Rtn. Marcus Dee and Rtn. Jackie Rodriguez.
