Presidents' Corner

Dear Fellow Manila Rotarians,

Several weeks of thorough preparations in order to ensure the success of “An Evening with Rotary International President Barry Rassin and Lady Esther” has now reached its culmination in this evening’s milestone event. From the food to be served to the choice of venue as well as the selection of a steering committee from our club to undertake every aspect of a colossal event involving all the ten districts of Philippine Rotary while being ably complemented by a highly competent events team known for keen attention to detail, had been a painstaking yet satisfying journey to which I take my hats off for pushing themselves to the limits and realizing they could achieve a lot more.

This event is doubly significant as it serves as the kick off of our centennial activities as we invite all our fellow Rotarians from all over the Philippines to be one with us in celebrating the 100 years of the Rotary Club of Manila and the Rotary movement in the Philippines and in Asia from June 21-22, 2019. Let this be an affair to remember as the visit of a Rotary International First Couple is always a sight to behold.

Before I forget, I wish to thank all the Manila Rotarians who attended the District 3810 HANDOVER 2018 last July 14, 2018 at the Manila Hotel. Indeed, this is a manifestation of our all out support to our very own DG Rudy Bediones and our sheer number serves as an ominous sign of an impending successful centennial year. Special mention goes to the Rotary Club of Manila World Famous Chorale for a superb performance in serenading DG Rudy and Lady Sharon Bediones to the delight of Rotarians from all over the district.

In ONE CENTURY ONE MISSION ONE ROTARY, I remain as I encourage all of you to BE THE INSPIRATION truly worthy of emulation.
