Updates on Centennial Projects

Latest updates on the Coffee Table Book, Commemorative Stamps, Seeds of Change, Boy Scouts activities, REAP and TOWER Awards as of early October 2018.

Rotary Club of Manila Coffee Table Book

Latest Update: During the Steering Committee held last September 27, 2018 at the Balcony 1 of the New World Makati Hotel in Makati City, commissioned-author PDG Chit Lijauco presented the book manuscript comprising of updated pagination, Chapters 1 to 4 and book layout where the steering committee members gave their recommendations. The timeline for submission of manuscript for the remaining Chapters 5 to 7 will be finished by the month of October.

Centennial Commemorative Stamps

Latest Update: Chair SDG/PP Frank Evaristo presented his proposed marketing scheme where the stamps shall be distributed for sale to all members of the Rotary Club of Manila, the ten (10) Rotary Districts and outside buyers/collectors where there would be a projected Gross Sales of Php 1,300,000.00.

Seeds of Change by Rotary Club of Manila

Latest Update: The Rotary Club of Manila, jointly with the City of Parañaque, held a Joint Tree Planting Project last September 28, 2018 at JW Diokno Extension in Parañaque City. Dignitaries who attended the ceremony were the following:

Latest Update: The Board Meeting of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines which was supposed to be held last September 29, 2018 where Rotary activities would have been discussed was postponed.

TOWER Awards

Latest Update: In a meeting held last September 26, 2018 with project partner People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP), the club agreed to extend the deadline for submission of nominations from September 30, 2018 to October 30, 2018 in response to numerous requests from companies which were unable to complete documentation to meet the September 30, 2018 deadline. With the new deadline, the committee expects more nominations to be submitted. Pre-screening of entries will be undertaken by middle of November 2018 to December 15, 2018.
