A Birthday Party in Disguise

Everybody was ecstatic to say the least. Rotary Club of Manila members came in full force to celebrate the gains of a successful DISCON 2019 that was, ready to party in style at the posh COVE MANILA of OKADA MANILA in Parañaque City after an otherwise busy Rotary day replete with meetings on the evening of March 14, 2019.

Fellowships are commonplace in Rotary Club of Manila, but, never in their wildest dreams did they expect a surprise birthday party of this magnitude in the works as the collaboration of DG Rudy and Lady Sharon Bediones, PP Teddy Ocampo, ISDG/PP Joyce Ambray and with the immense help of OKADA MANILA Director for Sales Cielo Ortega-Reboredo clandestinely pulled this event off without an iota of information leaking to any of the Rotary Club of Manila members.

With clinking glasses and congeniality being commonplace amid a sea of Manila Rotarians set in the most exclusive of party venues this side of the metropolis, it certainly was the fellowship of all fellowships for which those who missed the occasion could only marvel in awe. What a party it was with Manila Rotarians showcasing their dance moves which brought back fond memories of the glory days of Asia’s First Rotary Club. Definitely, it was an affair to remember for club on the heels of 100 years of Service Above Self.

Certainly, the man of the hour, Birthday Boy VPE/PAT Hermie Esguerra, the dashing debonair par excellence, made this event one for the books with an ace DJ and foreign performers completing a one of a kind show.
