Seeds of Change
Rtn. Celso E. Abastillas shares fifteen personal sayings under the heading Selon Moi.
Selon Moi . . .
1) Love your mother most as she has the most genuine love of all.
2) Common people are usually the ones that ride the band wagons. The uncommon ones, however, make the wagons.
3) Common sense is not actually common. It is rare.
4) As you grow older your outside beauty fades with time. But your kindness in heart lives with it.
5) Man tends to judge his fellowmen by what he sees and hear about them, even though these may not be true. That’s why man is not generally trusting.
6) Don’t be afraid to be different. The present situation, like fashion, will not last forever.
7) Don’t blame others for your problems or misfortunes for they are actually your own doings.
8) Technology has made stealing easier and faster. You don’t need to go to the bank and rob it like what Bonnie and Clyde did.
9) Politics is part and parcel of democracy. Without it, we have autocracy.
10) Leaders see the bigger picture. Followers look normally at the smaller one.
11) If you are a leader of a group, take care of your people and they will take care of you.
12) A leader who has been entrusted with power by his people to make radical changes should know how to use that power and should know, too, when to let it go, lest he ends up in trouble.
13) Don’t believe a man bragging about his sexual prowess. Believe in the old saying, silent river runs deep.
14) It is easier to jail the vote buyers numbering to only a few rather than the vote sellers numbering to millions.
15) Wise voters normally do not vote.
(My heartfelt thanks to RCM family for the birthday greetings I received last April 28, 2019. Again, thank you so much!).
