President’s Corner

Dear Fellow Rotarians,

Today we will have a very interesting opportunity to meet and chat with a very large and great Buddhist organization that has extended its helping hand to everyone who has needed assistance. They are the ones who are the first to arrive and the last to leave in any disaster or destructive event. We welcome them with open arms and return to them the love and affection that they have extended to our country and our people.

This Friday, a wonderful day for fellowship and brotherhood, our club would enjoy getting together at the Big Bad Wolf in Burgos Circle, Bonifacio Global City for an evening of fun, laughter, song and food. Thanks to our fellowship chairman, Jason Ong and to Juan Montel who have worked so hard to make this a memorable day. I hope to see all of you there. I will be there, wheelchair and all.

Next week, we will have several meetings on the Rotary National Tree Planting Program, better known as TREES. This program is coming along very well with everything we envisioned falling into place. On the second and third up to the seventh of August, the undersigned and several members of our club will be going to Davao to meet in a joint meeting of two of Davao’s stalwart clubs, RC Davao and RC Davao South. They have joined actively in the TREES project as well as the ambassadorial program.

I welcome all of you today with the knowledge that we will learn something very valuable from our guests today. I truly hope that the knowledge they will impart will benefit our club in more ways than one. Thank you very much.
