Last August 22, 2019, the Rotary Club of Manila held its first Club Assembly for Rotary Year 2019-2020 which coincided with its Second Fellowship. The jampacked Manila Room of the Manila Elks Club was definitely a sight to behold as Manila Rotarians took time off from their busy schedules to hear the State of the Club Address of President Jackie Rodriguez.
President Jackie emphasized in his talk the need to recruit more members into the club, the updates on his flagship programs such as the Ambassador of Goodwill Program and the T.R.E.E.S. Program. With respect to the T.R.E.E.S. Program, he mentioned the launch of the first Rotary National Park in General Tinio, Nueva Ecija which he recently attended and participated in. He likewise talked about the remaining centennial items such as the Centennial Coffee Table Book and the Centennial Stamps and the need to make a conscious effort to sell them. He considered the online channel as a viable option.

After the brief club assembly, Manila Rotarians took turns on the microphone to belt out their favorite songs to the delight of the sea of Manila Rotarians on hand as singing, dancing, drinking and exchanging pleasantries over delectable cocktails filled a late afternoon of fun and camaraderie which left Manila Rotarians yearning for more of this kind of fellowships.
