President’s Corner

We had fabulous meeting last week with over 120 participants and a great speaker. Dr. Bernie Villegas was absolutely amazing. I’ve always enjoyed listening to him. His economic prognosis always seems to hit the bullseye. We thank him very much for giving his time, his friendship and his knowledge.

Today, we have a very exciting speaker. I refer to none other than one of the world’s leading gemologists, Harry Owen. This very exciting person will be showing us the world of diamonds, jewelry as well as the history and passion of valuable and precious stones.

Under the T.R.E.E.S. program, we have seen significant progress with the signing of several agreements by stakeholders. Likewise. the laws we have requested are moving quickly in Congress. With the laws in place, the return of quality ecology and environment is, but, a matter of time.

Thank you dear friends for responding to the call of new members - young, intelligent and remarkable young men in various fields. Our average age will drop substantially. We need a stronger and younger club and I ask all of you to kindly look around your families and friends for new recruits.
