President’s Corner

Dear Fellow Rotarians,

For those of you who have contributed and helped in the great success of The Rotary Foundation Recognition Gala Night at the Grand Ballroom of OKADA MANILA in Parañaque City, I would like to thank and congratulate you for your wonderful efforts in assuring the night’s fantastic event. Special thanks go to the charming Chair VP Hermie Esguerra and the beautiful Vice Chair SDG Joyce Ambray. To the many guys who gave donations and advertised in our souvenir program, thank you, thank you and thank you. The show was amazing. Gracias Hermie. You did a great job. You made me proud to be a member of such a great club. RCM had, but, two weeks to deliver the program, the souvenir magazine, and to sell four hundred (400) tickets. Amazing work. Congratulations and thank you to every single one of you.

Today we have a very special guest in the person of Prof. Danilo Concepcion, President of the University the Philippines. Expect to learn about the history of the University of the Philippines, what steps have been taken to make our educational system better and many more items that our club members want to learn about. We have requested the members of the UP Alumni Association to take hold of this meeting and to deliver a wonderful program. You are at the helm, Upsilonians, with the UP President being an Upsilonian himself.

Next Thursday, we have as a Guest Speaker Dr. Willy Ong. I expect to learn much from this great crusader for good governance. Don’t miss this meeting.

There will be a wonderful Christmas party at the Fairmont Hotel. The details are now being prepared and will be announced properly. I am also requesting for more fellowships, especially, fireside chats.

Best, Jackie
