Proposed Special Electoral Guidelines During the CoVid-19 Pandemic
The Board submits proposed electoral reforms for ratification by the membership in time for the September 2020 Elections, with a fifteen-day deadline to reply.
Dear Fellow Manila Rotarians,
The Board of Directors for RY 2019-2020 during the Special Board Meeting held last June 26, 2020 (Friday) approved to endorse to the General Membership the proposed recommended reforms in our electoral process, denominated as Proposed Special Electoral Guidelines during the CoVid-19 Pandemic, in the light of a foreseen prohibition of in-person mass gatherings. The Board created a committee headed by Chairman PDG Alex Cureg who submitted the recommendations to the Board and which the Board, forthwith, approved for the above stated endorsement.
In view of this development, the Board is submitting the attached recommendations for ratification by the membership in time for its implementation in the September 2020 Elections. Deadline to send reply shall be fifteen (15) days from transmission of this notice. In the absence of the above stated reply, the Proposed Special Electoral Guidelines during the CoVid-19 Pandemic shall be deemed approved.
