President's Corner
District Governor Odie Tarriela signed a Memorandum of Understanding with DENR Secretary Roy Cimatu on behalf of the 115 Rotary Club Presidents of District 3810.

Dear Fellow Manila Rotarians,
Great News!!!!!!
District Governor Odie Tarriela presented a pledge of support to DENR Secretary Roy Cimatu for his relentless effort to Clean up Manila Bay. District Governor Odie Tarriela signed a Memorandum of Understanding to support the activities, programs, and projects of the DENR for the next ten years on behalf of the 115 Rotary Club Presidents of District 3810. This was signed last Saturday, September 19, 2020, at the Manila Yacht Club.
The next move of District Governor Odie Tarriela is to meet with nine District Governors to support the programs of Tree Planting, Conservation and Development of Clean Water, Education for Barangay Captains for Sustainable Waste Management, and Support the Training for Recycling Plastics.
Next, the ten District Governors will sign a Pledge of Support and a Memorandum of Understanding with the DENR Secretary. Following that, would be to sign agreements with MMDA, DILG, DPWH, DOA and other agencies to get their support and cooperation nationwide. It all started with the Manila Yacht Club and the Rotary Club of Manila. Now, our dream and answered prayers will come to fruition. Lahat ng Rotarians ay mga Bayani sa ating Bayan. Let others get the credit for doing good. On behalf of RCM, thank you District Governor Odie Tarriela for accepting the challenge to make our dreams come true. We will be there for you! When collaborating with the government, our programs will be more sustainable and purpose-driven while living the values of the Four-Way Test. Gentlemen of Rotary, Trust, Truth and Transparency are vital.
Imagine, all Rotary Clubs in the country proactively contributing in protecting, conserving, and expanding resources of the environment. Today, we are voting for our new leaders who will be undergoing training as required by Rotary International. Education is a must unless you want to live in the past. Progress is on full steam. We should adapt to change and if possible, some will create the change. Don’t be afraid of change. The past cannot come back. We are living in the eternal now. We have to be productive and healthy regardless of age. We need to be working and serving our fellowmen. We, Rotarians, feel well when we help the sick, the needy, men who are in dire need, because that is what God wants us to do. We are happy when we can share our blessings. We are happy when we protect the environment and humanity as a whole. We are happy when we see people smile. We are happy when we finance heart surgery for young children. We are happy when we build more scholarships for the underprivileged. There are many more reasons why we smile and are glad. That is ROTARY! Salamat! Kayo ang mga Bayani ng Pilipinas! Mabuhay!
