Dear Fellow Manila Rotarians,

I thank the One Above for saving us from the ravages of Typhoon Ulysses which prompted us to cancel our Weekly Membership Meeting last week on account of power outages in many parts of Luzon. Hence, we are fortunate that our supposed Guest of Honor and Speaker last week graciously accepted our re-scheduling of his talk from last Thursday to today.

Riding on the heels of one of the most spirited Presidential Elections in the history of the United States of America, it’s time to get the fearless forecast on what the Philippines can expect in a looming changing of the guards as to bearing the torch of America’s flame. Whichever side you are, let our very own PVP His Excellency Jose Manuel “Babe” G. Romualdez, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the USA, deliver an objective perspective of the future of US-Philippines bilateral relations today, November 19, 2020 at 10:00 am. Because of the twelve hour time difference between Washington, D.C. and Manila, please be advised that the call to order shall be at 10:30 am. Be early because Uncle Sam wants you!

On the other hand, I wish to inform you that when we prepared the Philippine National Anthem audiovisual presentation for the Centennial Celebration of our club, there were many of us who were not available due to commitments or were overseas. Hence, in view of the same, we will be editing the above audiovisual presentation with the same team who prepared the same. As such, we are inviting those who were not able to join previously the above audiovisual presentation as well as the newly inducted members to a video shoot using a blue screen for this re-shoot of the above audiovisual presentation on Thursday, November 26, 2020 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at The Heritage Hotel Manila in Pasay City. Please wear your barong for the above shoot. Thereafter, we will have a face-to-face fellowship meeting at the same venue. Details on the above will be revealed as soon as this is finalized.
