In 2020, Philippine National Bank was cited by the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) as one of the recipients of the ASEAN Asset Class Award for obtaining a score of 97.5 points and above in the 2019 ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS).
In 2020, Philippine National Bank was recognized for being one of the awardees of the ACGS Golden Arrow for 2019. The Golden Arrow is awarded to Publicly Listed Companies (PLCs) and Insurance Companies (InsCos) that achieved the scores of at least 80 points in the 2019 ACGS Assessment.
In 2020, Philippine National Bank was recognized by The Asian Banker as Best Managed Bank during COVID-19 and Best CEO Response to COVID-19 in the Philippines. The Asian Banker’s awards for 2020 were specifically aimed at evaluating the performance and responses of the banks and their Chairpersons during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the initiatives implemented to help customers and society at large through the crisis.
In 2020, Philippine National Bank was also awarded by the Asiamoney as Best Bank for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the Philippines for pioneering several initiatives focused on financial literacy, sustainable environment, and employee engagement. In addition to this, Philippine National Bank was likewise recognized in Asiamoney’s Leaders for Women Survey 2020 which recognizes the banks that have done the most to encourage women in the workplace across Asia’s financial markets.
In 2019, PNB received an award from The Asset as “Best FIG Bond-Philippines”, recognizing its US$750 million fixed rate notes issued in June 27, 2019. The deal marked the Bank’s successful return to the offshore bond market with the largest offering size from the Philippine banking sector.
In 2018, HSBC Philippines was named by The Asset as 2018’s Best Global Bank in the country and garnered various industry recognitions for its successful capital market transactions. HSBC Phils. was named the Best Debt House in the Philippines by The Asset for multiple years (2008-12, 2014-17)
