President’s Corner
President Bobby Joseph thanks members for their prayers for his recovery and congratulates the six winners of the TOWER Awards 2021.
Dear Colleagues in RCM,
Welcome to our Forty-First (41st) Weekly Meeting for RY 2020-2021.
First and foremost, I thank everyone for all the prayers you offered for my speedy recovery. I am eternally grateful to God for healing me and for hearing all our prayers. Having spent years battling cancer, I know I can also survive this, another health challenge. This pandemic is an unpleasant episode in our lives, but we must all continue to embrace positivity.
I made use of my stay in the hospital to reflect deeply, reevaluate my life and assess my priorities. I realized more how precious our life is. I came out of the hospital as a stronger warrior, a better and transformed person.
Life is precious. Be grateful for what we have and appreciate even the small things in life. Continue to be a blessing to others and remain devoted to serving humanity.
During this pandemic, we all have experienced extraordinary changes. And what better thing to do than to quickly change and adapt to the rapidly changing situation? On a positive note, this pandemic has been a testament to just how resilient we are, how flexible and creative we can be just like our Transformational Term. We have initiated and carried out several projects and activities not just to nurture ourselves as Rotarians, but more importantly, to serve the community. Guided by the Four-Way Test and inspired by the spirit of cooperation, we all embrace renewal, growth and involvement to help others and build a better world.
As transformational leaders, we have created a vision to serve humanity and contribute to the betterment of society. We thank each of you for transcending your self-interests for the benefit of RCM’s goals and for acting as role models in attaining our vision. It is heartwarming to see how our organization has been making its contribution to the spiritual and material well-being of our communities.
Thank you, Transformational Rotarians, for taking this journey with us. Thank you for your acts of kindness, your commitment and support to our projects, and your contributions to help those in need. We are also open to suggestions on how else we can help and be of service to others.
Congratulations to the six (6) winners of the TOWER Awards 2021 and thank you to our partners, benefactors, the assessors, the Board of Judges and the entire TOWER Awards 2021 Committee led by Chairman PP Susing Pineda and Co-Chairman IPVP Hermie Esguerra for the twenty-ninth (29th) staging of this legacy project of the Rotary Club of Manila!
