Sinag-Aralan EduAksyon

The Rotary Club of Manila and JCI Makati's solar-powered bamboo library project received a donation of 5,000 books and at least 500 tumblers from the Rotary Club of Ermita Manila.

Sinag-Aralan EduAksyon

JCI Makati and the Rotary Club of Manila will undertake a joint project, entitled, Sinag-Aralan EduAksyon. It aims to produce bamboo libraries powered by solar panels for readers of the chosen communities. The books that these libraries will house are from different genres. These will be available for reading in order to cater to the needs of the community and to widen one's perspective. This project likewise aims to promote healthy reading and research through books as these are already declining in patronage nowadays due to the availability of internet.

The Rotary Club of Manila received a hefty donation of 5,000 books and at least 500 tumblers from the Rotary Club of Ermita Manila for “Sinag-Aralan EduAksyon”, a joint project of the Rotary Club of Manila and JCI Makati, which will benefit indigenous kids in identified communities in the Philippines’ MIMAROPA region. Members of JCI Makati led by 2021 JCI Makati LO President and STAR Rtn. Lance Tan picked up the books and tumblers last June 15, 2021 at the Rotary Club of Manila Secretariat Office in Manila.
