“Pagkalinga sa Mata” Free Cataract Surgery Mission

The Sight Preservation Committee reprised its “Pagkalinga sa Mata” project in June 2021 with a free cataract surgery mission at the University of Santo Tomas Eye Center.

The Sight Preservation Committee of the Rotary Club of Manila reprised its “Pagkalinga sa Mata” Project for June 2021. Led by Project Director Rtn. Jack Bautista and through the generosity of President Bobby Joseph who donated Php 100,000 for the project, the Free Cataract Surgery Mission took place at the University of Santo Tomas Eye Center, University of Santo Tomas Hospital in Manila.

The participants were Dr. Aejae Ong, Dr. Ivy Repollo, Lissa Suyo, Lorenzo Simpao, Itos Yutangco while cataract consultants were Dr. Adel Samson, Dr. Noel Palmero and Dr. Mike Lagamayo. Photos show a patients undergoing cataract surgery with intraocular lens implantation as well as patients who benefitted.
