President’s Corner
President Chito Zaldarriaga thanks participants of the turnover ceremonies and previews the roll out of the RCManila Foundation, Inc. and its PCNC accreditation.
Dear Fellow RCM Members,
Greetings! Today marks our Second (2nd) Meeting for the Rotary Year 2021-2022 and already we are off to a running start. (Talk about hitting the ground running.)
My personal thanks to the participants of the turnover ceremonies meeting last week! It was a very touching experience to have been charged by no less than our very own PDG Obet Pagdanganan, and to have been sworn in by our District Governor Robert Koa. There were an overwhelming 250 plus attendees I am told. The talk that Former Defense Secretary Gibo Teodoro gave was, indeed, a very refreshing and mind-stimulating experience. A true Statesman, indeed.
We have etched out the preliminary plans and programs for today’s orientation/roll out of the RCManila Foundation, Inc. (RCMFI) and how it will be relating to our main club. The practical value of the RCMFI is the existing accreditation of PCNC which allows us tax incentives for the duration of our accreditation. This, however, is an ongoing revalida process which happens annually. As such, we need to institutionalize the RCM projects for sustainability, a pre-requisite of PCNC, if we are to extend our accreditation.
In the coming days, we will be sharing with the body the details of the upcoming projects we will be launching and – get this…for starters – a project that is already fully funded. This project is chaired by PP Susing Pineda and co-chaired by PP Teddy Ocampo. I will personally be the Director-in-Charge for this project.
Have a great week ahead my dear RCM brothers! May God bless us all!
Humbly yours in Rotary, FSZ
