President’s Corner
President Chito Zaldarriaga reports on the record election-day attendance of 117 members and announces the day’s speakers.
Greetings Fellow RCM Members!
What an amazing election we had last week! Indeed, what a remarkable show of true Rotarian virtues, our dear fellow Rotarians displayed last week. We garnered a record- breaking election day attendance of 117 members with all 117 members voting on time and according to the digital system, which was so smoothly managed by our tech guru, Rtn. Tobi Rast. DDCC/IPP Bobby Joseph did an excellent job in carrying out this vital task of conducting the elections with the abled assistance of his committee members, namely, Vice Chairman PDG Vince Carlos, PDG Alex Cureg, PDG Obet Pagdanganan, PDG Rudy Bediones, DDCC/PP Jackie Rodriguez and Rtn. Tobi Rast. And the best news is, the power-packed Board of Directors elected for RY 2022-2023 is headed by the superhuman Rotarian, PE/PVP Herminio “Hermie” Esguerra. Kudos and may God bless you all with His Hand of Guidance!
For this 11th Membership meeting, we have a couple of very interesting speakers. We are wired for a great meeting today with the Classification Talk to be done by Star Rotarian Ronald Martinez as he graciously agreed to be re-scheduled for this week and Mr. Ed Picson, Secretary-General and Executive Director of the Association of Boxing Alliances in the Philippines (ABAP), as he shares with us the success stories of the three Olympic medalists.
Coming out of the District Area meeting which I attended last Monday, September 13, 2021, we were reminded of certain drives being done by the district. As such, I would like to enjoin everyone to participate in the upcoming Presidential Conference Manila scheduled on November 26, 27 and 28, 2021. The early bird joining fee is only P1,000.00 per participant which is only until September 15, 2021. For more details : Please go to www.rpc21.ph to register.
That’s it! Quick reminder on our drive: Everyone, Bring One! Equally important is our goal of making everyone a Paul Harris Fellow. For the US $1,000.00 you would donate this period for TRF, aside for the perks that go with this noble act, I believe the Almighty will reward you tenfold!
Stay safe everyone and may God bless us all!!!
Humbly yours in Rotary,
The Week That Was
