President’s Corner
President Zaldarriaga looks ahead to PP Archit Bartolome’s Past President’s Time talk and reports on the Esguerra Farms bloodletting and PP Jackie Rodriguez’s election as District Governor.

Fellow Brothers in RCM,
After an interesting session with Sen. Manny Pacquiao last week, we are poised to hear out another kind of fighter! Our very own PP Archit Bartolome on our monthly installment of Past President’s Time, a segment introduced by our dynamic Programs Committee Chairman and RCManila Foundation, Inc. Chairman PE/PVP Hermie Esguerra and his team. His book, “The Maverick Tondo Boy”, reveals the most interesting highlights of his amazing life! I strongly recommend that all of you get a copy and read it. By the way, it was very well written by our Director Albert Alday.
Last Saturday was an amazing “dream-like” day. PE/PVP Hermie Esguerra hosted a bloodletting session in cooperation with the RCManila Foundation, Inc. and in coordination with the Philippine Red Cross. Several STAR Rotarians were in attendance and, of course, a handful of us, older guys, were there, as well. We were given the VIP treatment by our fantastic hosts in the Esguerra Farms in Lipa. What an experience! Thank you PE/PVP Hermie Esguerra and DGE Joyce Ambray for bringing back the brand of fellowship, the Rotary Club of Manila is known for.
We have new members who are joining our roster! We have a couple of aspiring members whom the Board of Directors recently approved for acceptance as our latest STAR Rotarians. We shall be inducting them shortly in the upcoming meetings! Stay tuned!
Finally, as most of you know by now, our very own PP Jackie Rodriguez won by a huge margin in his bid for the Governorship of Rotary District 3810 for RY 2024-2025. Kudos Señor Jackie! You have made us proud to be a Manila Rotarian!
‘Til next week, stay safe gentlemen!!! God Bless us all!
Humbly yours in Rotary,
FSZ Felix Francisco S. Zaldarriaga President RY 2021-2022
