President’s Corner
President Chito Zaldarriaga reports on the board meeting, the PCNC re-accreditation session, today’s COMELEC guest, and his appeal for Rotary Foundation contributions.

Greetings my fellow RCM brothers!
As I turn another year wiser in 2022, I reflect on all that I have been through these past 67 years. And needless to say, I have been blessed with a rainbow of events, episodes, trials, joys and everything else in between. One of the highlights of my life will definitely be this role I have as President of this prestigious club. I pray that I will be able to carry out my task and carry it out well as we forge ahead with the second half of our Rotary Year! This Board of Directors team is poised to do just that!
We had a recent Board of Directors meeting last February 8, 2022. We have new hires for the Secretariat of both RCManila Foundation, Inc. and Rotary Club of Manila to replace Jeff Lord who resigned last year. A more comprehensive resume for both of them will be issued separately in the Balita soon!
There was a session with the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC) panel to renew our RCManila Foundation, Inc. accreditation and I am confident that RCManila Foundation, Inc. Chairman PE/PVP Hermie Esguerra and team did an excellent job in obtaining the re-accreditation flawlessly!
We are having today a truly admirable person from the COMELEC. The response, not just from various Rotary Clubs, but from other guest associations, as well, is manifest in the pivotal role this lady plays.
Again, folks, I will make the appeal for your participation in The Rotary Foundation (TRF) by contributing your share of US $1,000. By the way, there are other ways of participating in this and one can do this by slowly paying the amount of US $100 a month so that the disbursement will not be too drastic.
Stay well everyone! And may God continue to bless us all!
Humbly yours in Rotary,
FSZ Felix Francisco S. Zaldarriaga, President RY 2021-2022
