PDG Andre Suharto

Former District 3310 Governor Andre Suharto is the Rotary Regional Public Image Coordinator for Zones 10B and 10C.

Andre Suharto holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computing Science from the University of Essex, followed with a post graduate Diploma in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics (LSE). He is a businessman in IT and Automotive Importer & Retailer.

He is a charter member of Rotary Club Kuching Central which was set up in 1986 in District 3310 covering Brunei, Singapore and part of Malaysia. As an active Rotarian, his involvement at the district began in 1998. He played many different roles in the district including many years as Assistant District Trainer. However, it was in 2008 when he was appointed as district trainer, the first person to assume that role as soon as RI allowed such position to be held by a non-PDG. He was District 3310 Governor in 2014-15 under the RI Presidency of Gary Huang.

In 2020 & 2021, he was appointed as Governors-Nominee Training Seminar (GNTS) Team Leader for Zones 1B, 9 & 10. He was also trainer at Governors-elect Training Seminar (GETS) for the same Zones. Currently he is the Rotary Regional Public Image Coordinator for Zones 10B and 10C covering Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar & Vietnam for 2020-2022. He was Rotary International Assembly Training Leader for three consecutive years in 2020, 2021 & 2022. He has recently been appointed by RI PE Jennifer Jones and Rotary Foundation Trustee Chair-elect Ian Risely as the 2022 Rotary Regional Leaders Global Institute facilitator.

Andre is currently in the process of setting up a Rotary Satellite Club with 28 members below the age of 36 and comprising of five different races which are in line with Rotary’s DEI policy. He is a regular speaker within and outside District 3310 and is always happy to share what he has learnt with dedicated fellow Rotarians.
