President's Corner
President Chito Zaldarriaga reports on the club's remaining signature projects and welcomes COMELEC's James Jimenez ahead of the May 9 elections.

Greetings my dear fellow RCM brothers!
I missed our regular Thursday meeting last week to attend to a personal matter. I am told it was a very interesting presentation by PDG Andre Suharto on the very vital topic of Public Image. Rotary being as large and spread out as we are should definitely have certain disciplines on brand imaging and projection. Particularly, nowadays, where information is so freely disseminated, it is essential to have “One Sight, One Sound” in all our public imaging exposures. Being a former Adman, certain “non-negotiables” are truly important in communications.
There will a forthcoming survey that will determine the dynamics of our regular Thursday meetings. PD Art Lopez is taking the lead in doing this survey. Essentially, it will determine among the members how many would like to proceed with online meetings, the frequency of live meetings, etc. This will help us determine the velocity of our shift from digital to live / face to face meetings as we transition towards what we hope will soon be normal times.
We are gearing up for the final months of my term as we tie up details and elements of the remaining two signature RCM Projects. Chairman Director Amading Valdez is tightly working on our Journalism Awards which is slated to happen towards June before we turn over the reins to the new administration. Chairman PP Susing Pineda, our Centennial President, meanwhile, together with the team, are awaiting the results of the TOWER Awards in coordination with the PMAP group.
As we are all poised to cast our votes on May 9, it is, but appropriate to have with us today, no less than the man who will ensure we have honest and clean elections. COMELEC Director and Rotary Club of Manila South PP James Jimenez is gracing us with his presence and will share with us the latest on what is happening in the COMELEC as we head towards the last few days before election day.
Stay well my dear RCM Brothers. Vote wisely and may God bless this beloved country of ours!
