Message from the Office of the Chairman

The strength of a nation’s economy is anchored on productivity. Thus, productivity stems, not just from the stewards at the helm who steer the industry towards progress, but, more importantly, from the men and women who labor on the ground just to earn a day’s keep. No wonder these non-supervisory blue and white collar workers are lauded as the backbones of the economy whose heroic deeds we recognize in The Outstanding Workers of the Republic (TOWER) Awards, a legacy project of the Rotary Club of Manila, the First in Asia.

Great things in Rotary are never done by a single individual, but, by a team of Rotarians moving together towards a common goal in furtherance of Service Above Self. On the occasion of the TOWER Awards 2022, I wish to convey my outpouring of gratitude to our partners, stakeholders, benefactors, sponsors and the TOWER Awards 2022 Committee Members as well as my warmest congratulations to all the awardees who truly deserve this recognition and to our Manila Rotarians led by President Chito Zaldarriaga whose unwavering support towards this endeavor has made it a perennial feather to the cap of Asia’s First Rotary Club.
