The Week That Was

The World Famous Music Chorale Audiovisual Presentation of the RC Manila Hymn and the singing of the Philippine Rotary Hymn electrified the Rotarian spirit in everyone in attendance.

AS Michael Jaey Albaña acted as Program Moderator/Facilitator. Sounding the bell, Pres. Hermie Esguerra called the meeting to order. Humbly calling upon our loving Father God, STAR Rtn. Nicolas Souvlakis led the Invocation and Special Prayer. The Philippine National Anthem was made more meaningful and alive by the Rotary Club of Manila Audiovisual Presentation.

Star Rtn. Nantha Kumar Narayanamoorthy led the recitation of the time-honored Four (4) Way Test.

Introduction of Visiting Guests and Rotarians

The World Famous Chorale sang RCM’s signature Welcome Song to the delight of the guests and visitors. AS Michael Jaey Albaña, Program Moderator/Facilitator, acknowledged the week’s birthday celebrants, namely Rtn. Nando Camus, STAR Rtn. Senen Mangalile, Rtn. Mike Sicat and Dir. Johnny Chotrani, which was followed by the World Famous Music Chorale singing of RCM’s unique and jolly “happy birthday” song.

During his President’s time, Phenomenal Pres. Hermie Esguerra once again gave a report of his activities and the Club’s ongoing projects. The Committee on Election, led by IPP Chito Zaldarriaga, clarified the rules for the Nomination of the Board of Directors (RY 2023-2024) and thereafter facilitated the nomination process.

PD Issam Eldebs introduced SAA Nagi Zeitouni, Chairman of the Sports Committee, who reported on the Committee’s plans and programs. SAA Nagi Zeitouni discussed his Committee’s exciting plans and initiatives.

A short open forum immediately followed right after the Presentation of Sports Committee Chairman SAA Nagi Zeitouni and the Classification Talk of STAR Rtn. Michael Raymond "Micray" Gonzales, Rtn. Rami Chahwan, Rtn. Ingy Bertelsen, Pres. Hermie Esguerra, PD John Cenica and SAA Nagi Zeitouni propounded questions which made the discussion more animating.

Rtn. Robi Joseph introduced Classification Speaker / STAR Rtn. Michael Raymond "Micray" Gonzales. Captivating the audience with his discussion on electric vehicles and his current projects, Classification Speaker / STAR Rtn. Michael Raymond "Micray" Gonzales delivered his informative and interesting talk.

Pres. Hermie Esguerra delivered his closing remarks and thereafter, adjourned the meeting. SDG/President Hermie Esguerra and Programs Committee Chairman IPD Amading Valdez presented the Certificate of Appreciation, attested by Club Secretary Edwin Hernandez, to SAA Nagi Zeitouni and STAR Rtn. Michael Raymond "Micray" Gonzales.
