I hope you are all having a great week! Since our last Weekly Membership Meeting, I have attended several meetings and am excited to share the progress with all of you.

Meeting with RCManila Foundation Inc.

Wednesday, August 10, 2022 5:00 p.m.

RCManila Foundation Inc. Secretary Joel Valdes and Asst. Sec. Anton Mauricio prepared an initial Gantt chart for the proposed cleft palate project with Rotary Club of San Francisco, USA. I was present at the initial presentation of the proposed Gantt chart.

Tech Run for the Weekly Membership Meeting

We conducted a tech run and rehearsal to plan for the program flow of our August 11, 2022 Weekly Membership Meeting via Zoom virtual platform. Present during the meeting were Program Committee Chair/IPD Amading Valdez, Program Participants Rtn. Robi Joseph (Moderator), STAR Rtn. Micray Gonzalez (Lead Reciter of 4-Way Test), Rtn. Alvin Ampil (Introducer of Dr. Brix Pujalte, M.D.), and STAR Rtn. Anthony Koh (Introducer of Dr. Romeo Romero, MD).

RCManila Foundation Execom Meeting

Thursday, August 11, 2022 4:00 p.m.

I attended the hybrid Execom Meeting of RCManila Foundation Inc. Present at the meeting were Chairman Pepo Nuñez, Pres. Lito Sibayan and Trustee Paco Magsaysay (Treasurer). Along with me who joined the meeting via Zoom were Trustees Raffy Alunan, Jujut Enriquez, Sec. Joel Valdes, Asst. Sec. Anton Mauricio and Mr. Carlos Valdes (son of Sec. Joel Valdes).

RC Pasay Cyber City and Joint Efforts of Pasay Rotary Clubs (JEPROCS) Handover and Induction

It was an honor to witness the handover and induction of Elmer Francis Pasion as Rotary Club of Pasay Cyber City’s 21st Phenomenal Leader President and Joint Efforts of Pasay Rotary Clubs or JEPROCS’ 26th Chairman at Okada Manila.

Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) 2 Meeting

Saturday, August 13, 2022

Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) 2 held a meeting via Zoom virtual platform last Saturday, August 13, 2022. Present at the meeting were Dir. Hans Palacios, IPD Amading Valdez, Rtn. Anton Mauricio, Rtn. Senen Mangalile and EA Amy Babiano. I attended the closing segment of the learning session while District Governor Joyce Ambray acknowledged the faculty of the day’s RLI 2 training course.

Meeting of Supporting the Environment Committee

Monday, August 15, 2022, 7:30 p.m.

I attended the Zoom meeting of the Supporting the Environment Committee to flesh out partnership plan with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). Present during the meeting were DGN Jackie Rodriguez, Dir. Hans Palacios, WASH Chairman Rtn. Junjie Vazquez, and TREES/Clean Water Committee Co-Chairman Rtn. Raf Dionisio. ES Anna Kun Toledo also attended the meeting.

Meeting with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources

Tuesday August 16,2022 2 PM

I had a meeting with Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Assistant Secretary and Pasig River Coordinating and Management Office (PCRMO) Concurrent Executive Director Dr. Joan A. Lagunda, MNSA at the DENR office.

ASec. Lagunda presented how PCRMO prevents garbage from flowing into the Pasig River.

Meet and Greet with RI President-Elect Gordon R. Mclnally

Tuesday, August 16, 2022 5:30 p.m.

I had the pleasure of meeting RI President-Elect Gordon R. McInally, who will be our Special Guest at our Weekly Membership Meeting, at Wack Wack Golf and Country Club. We discussed the program and I'm excited to have him with us today.

Meeting of the Sports Committee

Tuesday, August 16, 2022 7:00 p.m.

STAR Rtn. Nantha Narayanamoorthy hosted the meeting of the Sports Committee at the New World Makati Hotel. Also in the meeting with me were DGN Jackie Rodriguez, PD Nick Locsin, STAR Rtn. Emman Dela Cruz, Rtn. Rami Chahwan, Chairman/SAA Nagi Zeitouni, PD Issam Eldebs and Dir. Jujut Enriquez.

It's been a busy week, but it's been really rewarding to see all the progress we're making with our projects. I'm looking forward to seeing even more progress in the weeks and months ahead. Thank you for all your support!
