22nd Regular Meeting: A Recap
The 22nd Regular Meeting, held jointly with RC Makati Central, welcomed new members and Guest of Honor and Speaker Atty. Jose “Joey” Lina.
The Philippine National Anthem was made more meaningful and alive by the Rotary Club of Manila Audiovisual Presentation, featuring captivating images of Manila Rotarians.
RCM’s 22th Regular Meeting, which was jointly held with the RC Makati Central, had Rtn. Teddy Kalaw as Program Moderator/ Facilitator.
Sounding the bell, RCM Pres. Hermie Esguerra and RC Makati Central Pres. Michael Chua called the joint meeting to order.
The attendees were treated to a video presentation of RI President Jennifer Jones' classification talk.
Humbly calling upon our loving Father God, Rtn. Alvin Ampil led the Invocation and Special Prayer.
The Moderator acknowledged and introduced the Visiting Guests and Rotarians.
The Philippine Rotary Hymn was sung by the attendees, aided by a captivating audiovisual presentation.
The week’s birthday celebrants were duly acknowledged, namely PDG Vince Carlos, Rtn. Ricky Laurel, Dir. Tony Lopez, STAR Rtn. Nantha Kumar Narayanamoorthy and PP Teddy Ocampo. This was followed by the World Famous Music Chorale singing the happy birthday song.
The World Famous Chorale, through a recording, led the singing of the Welcome Song to the delight of the guests and visitors.
STAR Rtn. Miguel Lazaro led the recitation of the Four-Way Test.
RCM Pres. Hermie Esguerra delivered his president’s time. He highlighted the numerous activities undertaken by RCM in the previous week.
RC Makati Central Mike Chua delivered his president’s time.
As proposer, Rtn. Anton Mauricio introduced the new Manila Rotarian, Mr. Avelino “Billy” Andal.
Rtn. Teddy Kalaw for the introduction of Mr. Oliver Biltz, proposed by PP Frank Evaristo.
Rtn. Teddy Kalaw introduced new Rotarian, Atty. Raul Canon, who was invited by co proposers Rtn. Raji Mendoza and Dir. Hans Palacios.
As proposer, VP Reggie Yu introduced new RMCer, Mr. Arvin Arik B. Carranceja, who was co-proposed by Dir. Albert Alday.
PDG Obet Pagdanganan, as proposer, introduced a new RCM member, Mr. D. Edgard A. Cabangon.
PDG Obet Pagdanganan conveyed a powerful and inspiring message for the charging of the new members.
Rtn. Senen Mangalile introduced the Guest of Honor and Speaker, Atty. Jose “Joey” Lina, Former Philippine Senator, and currently President, The Manila Hotel, and President, MH F&B Ideas.

Pres. Hermie Esguerra led the induction of the new members.

The World Famous Music Chorale, through an Audiovisual Presentation, led the singing of the RC Manila Hymn.
RC Makati West Pres. Mike Chua and RCM VP Reggie Yu delivered their closing remarks and adjourned the meeting.
After the adjournment, the Guest Speaker stayed on to respond to additional questions during the extended open forum participated by Rtn. Joel Valdes and Rtn. Teddy Kalaw.
