November 6, 1947: Rotary Club of Manila nominated Ambassador CPR as candidate for presidency of RI in the annual convention to be held at Rio de Janeiro in June 1948.

1959: Honorary Member

February 22, 1975: Awarded the Paul Harris Memorial Award by the Rotary Club of Manila

Rotary International (RI)

1935: During the 26th Annual Convention of RI, CPR became the first Rotarian from the Philippines to be honored with an appointment to the Club Service Committee of RI.

1937: 3rd Vice President in the Board of RI, a unique distinction to be the first and only Filipino Rotarian to sit on the R.I. Board of Directors without having served as District Governor.

1938: One of the 12 board of directors for the year 1938-1939

August 1938 (until June 1939): One of the five members of the RI Magazine Committee

July 4, 1939: Organized the Rotary Club of Guam

August 30, 1939: THE ROTARY CLUB OF GUAM was admitted as a member of RI as Club No. 5105

October 25, 1939: Rotary Club of Guam unanimously nominated CPR for next president of RI

November 1940: Appointed by President of RI Armando De Arruda Pereira as one of the members of the Committee that studied the problems arising from world conflicts as they affect RI and its future developments.

1943: Member of the Convention Committee

December 1947: 6,300 Rotary clubs around the world were circularized in the Rotary campaign for the candidacy of CPR for the presidency of RI.

United Nations Day Celebration of the Manila Rotary Club at the Manila Hotel, Oct. 25, 1951.

Foreign Secretary Carlos P. Romulo at the head table during the Bacolod Rotary dinner held at the University Club, October 18, 1951, in which occasion the former UN General Assembly president pleaded for the ratification of the Japanese and Mutual Aid Treaties.

Addressing the Rotary Club of Manila at the Manila Hotel, February 5, 1948. He was also honored with a citation as one whose “career exemplifies the highest ideals of Rotary International.”

Past presidents of the Rotary Club of Manila gave a luncheon in honor of Ambassador Romulo, a past president of the Rotary Club of Manila and one of the first Filipinos to be elected vice president of Rotary International. He was re-admitted as an active member.
