30th Regular Meeting: A Recap
DFA Secretary Enrique A. Manalo was Guest of Honor and Speaker at the 30th Regular Meeting and received the Outstanding Ambassador Award.
The 30th Regular Club Meeting had PDG Vince Carlos as Program Moderator/Facilitator.
Sounding the bell, Pres. Hermie Esguerra called the meeting to order.
The singing of the Philippine National Anthem was made more meaningful and alive by the Rotary Club of Manila Audiovisual Presentation, featuring captivating images of Manila Rotarians.
Humbly calling upon our loving Father God, STAR Rtn. Ed Cabangon led the Invocation and Special Prayer.
STAR Rtn. Joel Talampas led the recitation of the Four (4) Way Test.
The singing of the Philippine Rotary Hymn once again electrified the Rotarian spirit of everyone in attendance.
The World Famous Chorale sang RCM’s signature Welcome Song to the delight of the guests and visitors.
The week’s birthday celebrants were duly acknowledged, namely Pres. Hermie Esguerra, Rtn. Tong Payumo, Rtn. Jun Alvarez, Rtn. Bren Egan and Rtn. Nilo Aventura. This was followed by the singing of the Club’s unique and jolly birthday song, led by the World Famous Music Chorale.
The Moderator acknowledged and introduced the Visiting Guests and Rotarians.
Another impressive account of the past week’s activities of the Club was presented by Pres. Hermie Esguerra during the President’s Time.
DGN Jackie Rodriguez introduced the Guest of Honor and Speaker, Hon. Enrique A. Manalo, Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs.
The Club’s Guest of Honor and Speaker, Hon. Enrique A. Manalo, delivered his a well-received speech.
Pres. Hermie Esguerra and DGN Jackie Rodriguez, together with Ms. Liana Romulo, presented to Secretary Manalo the Outstanding Ambassador Award, jointly conferred by the Rotary Club of Manila and the Carlos P. Romulo Foundation for Peace and Development.
Ms. Liana Romulo, who represented the Carlos P. Romulo Foundation for Peace and Development, delivered her greetings and message of solidarity.
A Special Token by ALC Group of Companies, represented by STAR Rtn. Edgard Cabangon (Chairman, ALC Media Group) was likewise given to Secretary Manalo.
Secretary Manalo likewise received a Special Token of Appreciation from Program Committee Chairman Amading Valdez.
During the open forum, additional important and interesting matters were elucidated, through the questions and comments of PE/Dir. Raffy Alunan, Dir. Tony Lopez and PD Beda Fajardo.
As a fitting way to wind down the program, the World Famous Music Chorale led the members in singing the RC Manila Hymn.
Pres. Hermie Esguerra delivered his closing remarks and adjourned the meeting.
