34th Regular Meeting: A Recap

Rtn. Jed Dayang led the recitation of the Rotarian Pledge.

The 34th Regular Meeting, which Manila Rotarians were able to join virtually through online platform, had Rtn. Joel Valdes as Program Moderator/Facilitator. Sounding the bell, Pres. Hermie Esguerra called the meeting to order. The singing of the Philippine National Anthem was made more meaningful and alive by the Rotary Club of Manila Audiovisual Presentation, featuring captivating images of Manila Rotarians.

Humbly calling upon our loving Father God, Rtn. Bon Li led the Invocation and Special Prayer.

A video presentation of the Four-Way Test further buttressed the principle and philosophy behind this moral yardstick.

The joint singing of the Philippine Rotary Hymn had everybody's Rotarian spirit positively steered anew. The World Famous Music Chorale led the members in singing the RC Manila Hymn.

The Moderator acknowledged and introduced the Visiting Guests and Rotarians.

The World Famous Chorale sang RCM's signature Welcome Song to the delight of the guests and visitors.

The week's birthday celebrants were duly acknowledged, namely ASE Willie Pelino, STAR Rtn. Edgard Cabangon, Rtn. Mike Ozaeta, Rtn. Caloy Serapio and Rtn. Vic Garcia. This was followed by the singing of the Club's unique and jolly birthday song, led by the World Famous Music Chorale.

Pres. Hermie Esguerra once again gave an animating report during the President's time.

Guest Speaker PDG Mark Flegel gave a most inspiring talk about the man with a mission: RI founder Paul Harris.

Important and interesting matters were further discussed and clarified during the open forum participated by Pres. Hermie Esguerra, PD Nick Locsin, PD Amading Valdez, PDG Jimmy Cura (District 3830) and Dir. Hans Palacios.

Pres. Hermie Esguerra and Programs Committee Chairman PD Amading Valdez presented the Certificate of Appreciation, attested by Club Secretary Edwin Hernandez, to Guest Speaker PDG Mark Flegel, Rotary International District 5150 (2006-2007) San Francisco, California, U.S.A.

Pres. Hermie Esguerra delivered his closing remarks and adjourned the meeting.
