36th Regular Meeting: A Recap

STAR Rtn. Paul Koh led the recitation of the Rotarian Pledge.

The 36th Regular Meeting, which Manila Rotarians held at Conrad Hotel, had Dir. Albert Alday as Program Moderator/Facilitator. Sounding the bell, Pres. Hermie Esguerra called the meeting to order. The singing of the Philippine National Anthem was led by the World Famous Music Chorale. At the background was the Rotary Club of Manila Audiovisual Presentation featuring captivating images of Manila Rotarians.

Humbly calling upon our loving God, STAR Rtn. Benedict Julius Sibuyan led the Invocation and Special Prayer.

STAR Rtn. Aries Balanay gave the background of the Four Way Test, which was followed by the video presentation showcasing the same.

Dir. Albert Alday acknowledged the visiting Rotarians and guests. With much gusto, the World Famous Chorale sang RCM's signature Welcome Song to the delight of the guests and visitors.

The World Famous Music Chorale led the singing of the Philippine Rotary Hymn as well as the RC Manila Hymn.

The week's birthday celebrant, Rtn. Warren So, was duly acknowledged, followed by the singing of the Club's unique and jolly birthday song, led by the World Famous Music Chorale.

RCMers injected new blood into the Club by presenting their candidates for membership.

Rtn. Ray Davis and PT Lito Sibayan as proposers of Atty. Arturo Iluminado C. De Castro, Managing Partner, De Castro and Cagampang-De Castro Law Firm.

PSAA Gunter Matschuck as proposer of Dr. David Klebs, Economic Counsellor, German Embassy Manila.

PD Noy Benedicto, as proposer of Mr. Zhihao "Jerry" Zheng, CEO, DATANG Real Estate Development Corp.

PDG Rudy Bediones was eloquent in charging the new members to live their commitment to Rotary and to RCM. Pres. Hermie Esguerra then inducted the new members into Rotary and RCM.

Chairman/IAS Willie Peliño reported on the upcoming RCM Golf Cup.

Important and interesting matters were further discussed and clarified during the open forum participated by PDG Alex Cureg, PD Amading Valdez and PSAA Gunter Matschuck.

Pres. Hermie Esguerra delivered his closing remarks and adjourned the meeting.
