41st Regular Meeting: A Recap

Manila Rotarians had a virtual fellowship before the meeting officially started.

The Program Moderator, Rtn. Caloy Serapio, requested the members present in Zoom to take their proper position before calling on Vice President Reggie Yu to call the meeting to order. The invocation was led by Past Assistant Secretary and RCManila Foundation, Inc. Secretary Joel Valdes. After invoking the presence of the Lord, the membership proceeded with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem.

The recitation of The Rotarian Pledge and the Four Way Test by Rotarians present was led by Rtn. Paco Magsaysay (RCManila Foundation, Inc. Treasurer). The membership led by the RCM “World Famous - WF” Chorale serenaded the week’s birthday celebrants.

The meeting featured the Classification Talk of two Manila Rotarians. A Classification Talk allows Rotarians, to share important parts of their personal and professional life, just enough to allow fellow Rotarians to know what the classification speaker is passionate about, do professionally, and hope to become through Rotary and other relationships. The meeting’s Classification Talk featured two Star Rotarians: Olivier Biltz (former Economic Counsellor of the Embassy of France in the Philippines) and Daniel Obrado, Chief Executive Officer - Keralty Philippines and Metro Sanitas Corporation.

RCMANILA FOUNDATION, INC. Chairman Pepo Nunez updated the membership with the brief history and the status of the foundation in relation to its Philippine Council for NGO Certification (the accrediting agency of foundations), as well as its registration with the Department of Social Welfare, and the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

RCManila Foundation, Inc. President Lito Sibayan gave an update on the upcoming RCM Cup, the golf tournament which aims to raise funds for the Club’s projects. Vice President REGGIE YU gave his closing remarks before adjourning the weekly membership meeting.
