40th Regular Meeting: A Recap

Labor Secretary Bienvenido E. Laguesma, a past president of the Club, was guest of honor and speaker as the TOWER Awards 2023 were presented.

Program Chairman and Past Director Amading Valdez led the membership and guests to prayer. Vice-Pres. Reggie Yu requested the members and guests to take their seats and invited Pres. Hermie Esguerra to the podium to call the meeting to order. Pres. Hermie Esguerra called the meeting to order. The members and guests one in singing the Philippine National Anthem.

Rtn. Emyl Eugenio led the membership and Rotarians to continue to animate in business and daily living relationships the way of the Rotary Pledge and the 4 Way Test. The World Famous Music Chorale welcomed the guests with the unique RCM welcome song. Pres. Hermie Esguerra delivered his welcome message.

Centennial President Susing Pineda, Chairman of Tower Awards 2023, talked about the Club’s institutional project and presented the year’s awardees.

People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) Pres. Ma. Elizabeth Nasol, DPM, received the TOWER Awards Trophy in appreciation of its partnership in undertaking the TOWER Awards.

Atty. Joseph Francis M. VCruz, San Miguel Corporation’s Vice President, Department of Human Resources delivered the message of SMC President Ramon S. Ang to the TOWER Awardees. He also received, on behalf of Mr. Ang, the TOWER Awards Trophy presented by Pres. Hermie Esguerra and Centennial Pres. Susing Pineda (Chairman, TOWER Awards Committee).

Philippine Amusement & Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco was represented by Atty. Juanito L. Sañosa, President and COO, delivered a brief message to the Club and the Awardees. He also received the TOWER Trophy for PAGCOR Chairman & CEO Tengco presented by Pres. Hermie Esguerra and TOWER Awards Chairman Susing Pineda.

Mr. Joseph E. Esttrada, Mechanical Technician of Energy Development Corporation (Left photo) Mr. Jonathan A. Salidaga, Geochemist - Field and Flow Test of Energy Development Corporation delivered their brief message of appreciation.

Ms. Kay Kimberly L. Kobayashi, Reservoir Geochemist of Energy Development Corporation, delivered her message of gratitude.

Mr. Justine A. Cayaban, Maintenance Order Processor of FCF Minerals, delivered his brief message of appreciation.

2023 TOWER AWARDEE MAKATI MEDICAL CENTER was presented a trophy by Pres Hermie Esguerra, TOWER Awards Chairman Susing Pineda, project partners PMAP Pres. Nasol, San Miguel Corporation VP Cruz and PAGCOR Pres. & COO Sañosa. The team members were likewise given their respective Plaque of Recognition -- Wilson S. Albay (Bed Management Officer; Justine Kristel Balacano (Workforce Management Officer); Abby Laureen E. Enriquez (Workforce Management Officer) Clarissa de Luna and Doris Lilibeth Oreta.

TOWER AWARDS 2023 AWARDEE – Mr. Wilson Albay delivered a brief message on behalf of the Makati Medical Center Team, acknowledging everyone which made the award possible.

2023 TOWER AWARDEE MOOG CONTROL CORPORATION was presented a trophy. Its team members -- Teejay L. Generosa (Technical Lead Manufacturing Engineer), Rene G. Tupas, Jr. (Machinist III) and Jonathan Matthew C. Quedi (Process Quality Engineer II) -- each received the Tower Awards 2023 Plaque of Recognition.

2023 TOWER AWARDS AWARDEE, Mr. Jonathan Matthew Quedi, delivered a brief message on behalf of the MOOG Control Corporation Team, acknowledging his employer, colleagues, family, and God.

Past President Teddy Ocampo introduced the guest of honor and speaker. The Honorable Bienvenido E. Laguesma, Secretary of the Department of Labor and Employment and past president of Rotary Club of Manila, delivered his message to the awardees, employers, members of RCM, and guests.

The Honorable Bienvenido E. Laguesma, Secretary of the Department of Labor and Employment, was handed a token of appreciation for the continued support of the DOLE to TOWER Awards and for honoring the awarding ceremony.

Pres. Hermie Esguerra and TOWER Awards 2023 Chairman Susing Pineda presented individual tokens of appreciation to each of the member of the Committee of Assessors – (from Left to Right) Efren Alberto Jr., DPM, Julie Miteria, FPM, Louisa Mila Echevarriam FPM, Virginia Mendoza, FPM and Reynaldo M. Gener, DPM.

Pres. Hermie Esguerra, TOWER Awards 2023 Chairman Susing Pineda, with the project partners – Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP), San Miguel Corporation (SMC), and Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) presented the TOWER AWARDS 2023 Token of Appreciation to the members of the Board of Judges composed of the following: Lucila C. Tarriela (Commissioner of the National Wages and Productivity Commission), Antonio I Panajon (President, Macay Holdings Inc. and Chairman of Summit Leasing and Financing Company and a director of the Board and Senior Adviser of Tao Corporation); Hon. Fidel Nograles (Chairman of the Committee on Labor and Employment in the House of Representatives) and Hon. Marquez Go, DPM (Congressional Representative of the lone district of Baguio). Hon. Mark Go is shown receiving the TOWER Awards 2023 Trophy as a Token of Appreciation for service as a member of the Board of Judges.

Pres. Hermie Esguerra presented the TOWER AWARDS 2023 Trophy as a Token of Appreciation to TOWER Awards Chairman Susing Pineda in the presence of Mrs. Marites R. Pineda. Pres. Hermie Esguerra delivered his final remarks and adjourned the meeting.
