26th Weekly Membership Meeting: A Recap

Program Moderator

Treas. Paul Joseph “PJ” M. Garcia was the week’s Program Moderator who efficiently navigated the sequence of the meeting. He began by inviting Manila Rotarians to be seated to allow the meeting to officially commence.

Call to Order

Sounding the bell, Vice President Reginald “Reggie” T. Yu called the 26th weekly membership meeting to order on behalf of President Rafael “Raffy” M. Alunan III.

Invocation

With a beautifully written prayer, Rtn. Carlos “Caloy” G. Serapio led the invocation for the membership.

Philippine National Anthem/RCM Hymn

Rotarians and guests took a position of respect as they sang the Philippine National Anthem. This was followed by the singing of the RCM Hymn.

Four-Way Test

Weekly meetings provide an opportunity for Rotarians to be reminded of their commitment to live by the 4 Way Test. Rtn. Raymond “Ray” N. Davis meaningfully led the recitation of this mantra.

Welcome Song

The “World’Famous” RCM Chorale led the singing of the Welcome Song, again delighting the guests.

President’s Time

Vice President Reginald Yu presented President Raffy Alunan's mid-year report on his behalf. The latter presented the report during the recently concluded Mid-Year Review in Busan, South Korea, held on January 26-29, 2024.

Project Update

IPP Hermie Esguerra provided an update on the special project “Save Pasig River,” chaired by Rtn. Evaristo “Junjie” Vasquez, Jr.

Introduction of the Guest Speaker

BLA Raoul C. Creencia introduced the guest speaker, Rtn./Usec. Antonilo DC. Mauricio, General Manager, National Development Company.

Guest Speaker

Rtn./Usec. Antonilo DC. Mauricio delivered a well-received and informative talk about the National Development Company – its ongoing projects and initiatives, as well as the reforms and best practices that are being pursued under his stewardship.
