27th Weekly Membership Meeting: A Recap

Program Moderator

Dir. Albert “Hans” C. Palacios was the Program Moderator, shepherding the flow of the weekly meeting. He began by inviting Manila Rotarians to be seated to allow the meeting to officially commence.

Call to Order

Sounding the bell, Pres. Rafael “Raffy” M. Alunan III called the 27th weekly membership meeting to order.

Invocation

With a carefully composed prayer, Rtn. Lorenzo “Toti” Cortez led the invocation for the membership.

Philippine National Anthem

Rotary Members and guests took a position of respect as they sang the Philippine National Anthem.

Four-Way Test

Rotarians were reminded of their commitment to live by the Four-Way Test, with the recitation of this mantra led by Rtn. Joshua Reuben “Josh” Aragon.

Welcome Song

The “World-Famous” WF Chorale led the singing of the Welcome Song.

President’s Time

President Raffy Alunan allotted his President’s Time to accommodate the historic MOA signing between the Rotary Club of Manila and the Philippine National Red Cross (PRC). The MOA focuses on providing Membership Accident Assistance Benefits for registered members. Another MOA was likewise consummated for the joint undertaking of blood donation activities. Similar MOAs were executed between PRC and the Rotaract of Manila, as well as the Rotaract Club of DLSU.

Rtn. Gerard Sean Rodriguez introduced the Guest of Honor and Speaker, Cong. Anthony Rolando T. Golez, Jr., Malasakit@Bayanihan Partylist Representative.

Guest of Honor and Speaker

In his captivating talk, Cong. Anthony Rolando T. Golez, Jr. gave the Rotarians and guests a glimpse of the country’s national health system, underscoring the various challenges that must be addressed.

Open Forum
