32nd Weekly Membership Meeting: A Recap

Program Moderator

The 32nd regular meeting had Rtn. Joseph Emmanuel “Emman” A. Dela Cruz as Program Moderator. He efficiently navigated the flow of the meeting, and all attendees were again treated to another well-prepared program thoughtfully put together for their benefit.

Call to Order

On behalf of Pres. Rafael “Raffy” M. Alunan III, VP Reginald “Reggie” T. Yu, called the 32nd weekly membership meeting to order.

Invocation

A beautifully written prayer set the tone for the meeting, with PDG Abraham “Abe” F. Pascual leading the invocation.

Philippine National Anthem

Rotary Members and guests took a position of respect as they sang the Philippine National Anthem.

Four-Way Test

Rotarians were again reminded of their commitment to live by the 4 Way Test, with the recitation of this mantra led by Rtn. Joseph Emmanuel A. Dela Cruz.

Rotary Hymn and Welcome Song

Led by the World Famous RCM Chorale, the rousing lyrics of the Manila Rotary Hymn was sang and once again echoed in the meeting venue. This was followed by the singing of the Welcome Song, to the delight of the guests.

President’s Time

On behalf of President Raffy Alunan, Vice President Reggie Yu announced that the D3810 Conference will take place on April 13-14, 2024, at the Manila Hotel. He encouraged everyone to attend and mentioned that details will be provided by the Secretariat soon. He also informed Manila Rotarians that preparations for the forthcoming 105th RCM Anniversary on June 1, 2024 are underway.

Philhealth President and CEO Emmanuel “Manny” R. Ledesma Jr. gave the Rotarians and guests an interesting talk on the ongoing pursuits and reforms being initiated by the state health insurance fund.

Open Forum

Philhealth President and CEO Mr. Emmanuel “Manny” R. Ledesma Jr. gamely addressed the queries posed by (below photos, from left): DGE Jackie Rodriguez, PD Abe Pascual, Dir. Hans Palacios, Dir. Token of Appreciation

Philhealth President and CEO Emmanuel “Manny” R. Ledesma Jr. was handed RCM’s Plaque of Appreciation. This was witnessed by Rtn. Paul Anthony “Paul” T. Koh, DGE Joaquin “Jackie” C. Rodriguez, Vice Pres. Reginald “Reggie” T. Yu, Dir. Albert “Hans” C. Palacios, and PD Abraham “Abe” Pascual.

After thanking the guest speaker and all attendees, the meeting was adjourned by VP Reggie Yu.
