42nd Weekly Membership Meeting

Program Moderator

Efficiently navigating the flow of the meeting, Sec. Edwin H. Hernandez acted as the week’s Program Moderator.

Call to Order

Pres. Rafael “Raffy” M. Alunan III called the 42nd weekly membership meeting to order.

Invocation

DE Henry Sy Go led the invocation with a heartfelt prayer, setting the tone for the meeting.

Philippine National Anthem

Rotary Members and guests took a position of respect as they sang the Philippine National Anthem.

Rotary Hymn

Manila Rotarians filled the venue with the dynamic music and meaningful lyrics of the Rotary Hymn.

Four-Way Test

Rotarians were again reminded of their commitment to live by the Four-Way Test with the recitation of this mantra led by Dir. Albert “Hans” C. Palacios.

Welcome Song

The guests were delighted with the singing of RCM’s signature Welcome Song.

Athlete of the Year Award

DGE Jackie delivered an inspiring speech as he presented the ‘Athlete of the Year Award’ to the national basketball team GILAS, received on the team’s behalf by Head Coach Tim Cone. His words celebrated the team's dedication, hard work, and exceptional achievements in the sport.

President’s Time

President Raffy Alunan requested the RCM members to observe a moment of silence and prayer for the untimely passing of RCM member Sebastian “Basti” Lacson. In addition, he presented a music video entitled “O Bayan Ko,” which he also encouraged the RCM Chorale to include in their repertoire in the future, as it showcases patriotism for the country.

Rtn. Carlos “Caloy” G. Serapio introduced the guest speaker.

Speech of the Guest Speaker

Head Coach Earl Timothy “Tim” Cone gave an interesting, insightful, and informative talk.

Open Forum

Coach Tim Cone welcomed and gamely responded to equally interesting queries posed by Manila Rotarians.

Token of Appreciation

Head Coach Tim Cone happily received RCM’s Plaque of Appreciation, which was handed by Pres. Rafael “Raffy” M. Alunan III and DGE Joaquin “Jackie” C. Rodriguez Sr. and witnessed by Sec. Edwin Hernandez.

After the presentation of the plaque of appreciation, President Raffy Alunan adjourned the meeting.
