PLANNING meeting for the RC Bamboo Planting Project in Albay, Legazpi. Representing RC Manila were President Jujut Enriquez, Past President Hermie Esguerra, Director Nagi Zeitouni, Secretary Aries Balanay, and RCMFI Chair Reggie Yu.
THE Bamboo Planting Zoom meeting was held on Friday, August 9, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. to prepare for the hotel and flight reservations for the upcoming Bamboo Planting scheduled from September 5 to 7, 2024.

Kawayan para sa Kalikasan at Kabuhayan aims to restore barren areas along lahar flows and sand mining sites using bamboo. This initiative not only prevents erosion and sudden lahar flows but also creates sustainable livelihoods. With over 1,000 hectares requiring replanting, the project will establish community-based bamboo nurseries and Bambusetums to promote environmental restoration, preservation, and job opportunities.
