Fur-Ever Pet Fair: A Fundraiser for Animal Shelter Welfare Programs

THE Rotary Club of Manila and JCI Manila successfully hosted the Fur-Ever Pet Fair on April 19 at the Mall Activity Center, Ever Commonwealth. The event was organized to generate funds for animal shelter welfare programs through the Rotary Club of Manila Foundation, Inc. (RCMFI).

The fair ran from 10 AM to 5 PM and was well-attended, filled with activities for pet owners and their furry companions. It started with a Pet Blessing at 10:30 AM, offering a spiritual start for participants. At 11 AM, the Rotary Club of Manila and JCI Manila members came together for a fellowship lunch to celebrate the shared effort in organizing the fundraiser.

One of the highlights of the event was an educational talk for pet owners, held from 12:30 PM to 3 PM. This segment provided practical advice on pet care and shared insights into responsible ownership. Another crowd favorite was the Adorable PAWshion Show, which ran from 3 PM to 5 PM. Pets took the stage in a variety of creative and colorful outfits, delighting the audience and creating joyous moments.

Aside from the scheduled events, attendees were able to take advantage of free pet consultations, health check-ups, rabies vaccinations, and grooming services. Freebies and raffle prizes were also distributed, adding to the excitement.

All funds raised during the Fur-Ever Pet Fair were directed to support the needs of rescue animals. These funds will help improve shelter conditions and ensure the animals receive care, love, and attention. Sponsors of the event were recognized for their contributions, with their logos to be displayed on a plaque at the shelter as a token of appreciation.
