AS the Rotary Club of Manila prepares to close the curtain on another Rotary Year, the forthcoming final regular weekly membership meeting promises to be more than ceremonial — it will be a quiet reckoning of a year marked by consistency, service, and the kind of leadership that prefers results over rhetoric.

This culminating event — set to serve as the Club Awards Ceremony and the valedictory of both President Eduardo “Jujut” Enriquez III and RCM Foundation Inc. Chairman Reggie Yu — invites members to reflect not only on what has been accomplished, but on how steadfastly the club has remained anchored in Rotary ideals amid changing times.

President Jujut’s administration has been characterized by stability and sincerity. With a leadership style that favored thoughtfulness over theatrics, he shepherded the club through a year of continuity, connection, and quiet achievement. The cadence of service never faltered; the fellowship was genuine and grounded. As he delivers his final address, he will do so not only as a Club President concluding his term — but as a steward of tradition who led with humility and substance.

Chairman Reggie Yu, in his valedictory report for the Rotary Club of Manila Foundation Inc., will cap a term defined by principled leadership, sound financial governance, and a renewed sense of mission. His dedication to ensuring that every peso served a higher purpose reflected not just stewardship — but service. His term will be remembered not by balance sheets alone, but by the dignity and deliberateness with which he championed the Foundation’s work.

And fittingly, this editorial marks the final issue of The Balita for Rotary Year 2024–2025. As the oldest Rotary newsletter in Asia, The Balita has borne witness to the story of our Club for generations — its milestones and missteps, its trials and triumphs.
