Born in Quezon City and trained at the University of the Philippines, Karlo’s foundation in industrial engineering and operational excellence — sharpened further at Stanford — anchors his current role as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Palawan Pawnshop and Palawan Express Padala. From oil fields in Canada with Schlumberger to strategic planning at Shell Philippines, he mastered the intricacies of systems before returning home to power one of the country’s most accessible financial service networks. Steadfast in service, he is also a devoted Rotarian and former club treasurer. Beyond the boardroom, he is a husband to Maria Claribelle and father to Maya, Sofia, and Alonso.
