Rotaract Club of Manila Marks 25 Years of Service and Leadership

ON July 26, 2025, the Rotaract Club of Manila celebrated its 25th Anniversary and Handover Ceremonies at the A. Venue Hotel in Makati City, marking a proud milestone of youth leadership and community service. The event gathered Rotaractors, Rotarians, and distinguished guests in a night of celebration, reflection, and renewal of commitment to the ideals of Rotary.

The highlight of the evening was the inspiring keynote address of Atty. Teodoro “Teddy” Kalaw IV, past Board Legal Adviser of the Rotary Club of Manila. Speaking extemporaneously on “Why Rotaract” and “Why Rotary,” Atty. Kalaw eloquently traced the timeless relevance of Rotary’s values, drawing wisdom from three influential figures in his own journey: Rotary Founder Paul Harris, Four-Way Test author Herbert J. Taylor, and Greek philosopher Socrates—whom he praised for embodying the principles of truth, fairness, goodwill, and beneficial action.

The ceremony also witnessed the formal turnover of leadership from outgoing President Summer Stephanie Bonifacio to incoming President Andrea Cuevas, signaling a new chapter of purpose-driven initiatives under young, dynamic leadership.

It was an evening of legacy, inspiration, and a reaffirmation of the enduring spirit of “Service Above Self.”
