Jansen M. Angeles

In manufacturing, where efficiency is measured in seconds and waste quietly affects profitability, meaningful innovation often comes from those who understand operations at the ground level. Jansen “Jans” Angeles embodies this kind of practical and solutions-driven leadership. A Manufacturing Technician 4 at Zenith Foods Corporation, Jans has spent more than a decade building a reputation for technical excellence, discipline, and operational insight. A graduate of Electronics and Communication Engineering from Tarlac State University, he combines engineering expertise with hands-on production experience — a balance that has enabled him to deliver lasting improvements within one of the country’s leading food manufacturing companies.

Among his most notable contributions is “Project Enforcer,” an innovative waste-management solution developed for the sausage production line. Recognizing that large amounts of water were unnecessarily mixed with solid waste, Jans designed an in-house fabricated strainer system that separated liquid and solid residues directly at the source.

The impact was significant. The project diverted approximately 83% of wastewater directly to treatment facilities, reduced waste disposal requirements, improved housekeeping conditions, minimized drainage issues, and enhanced operational efficiency. More remarkably, the low-cost initiative generated monthly savings of about ₱ 158,708 and cumulative savings exceeding ₱ 9 million as of December 2025.

Using only scrap materials and in-house fabrication, Jans demonstrated that transformative innovation does not always require expensive technology — only ingenuity, initiative, and the courage to challenge inefficiency.

Through his professionalism, consistency, and quiet dedication, he exemplifies the spirit of the Filipino worker whose contributions uplift both industry performance and the dignity of labor itself.
