Presidential Awards
Presidential Awards for Rotary Year 2015-16 were presented to Board members, officers and other members for their service to the Club.
(Recognition of tireless efforts of members within the ranks of a Rotary Club serves as an incentive to all members to strive to continue to outdo themselves and perform better each Rotary Year. Giving out tokens of appreciation for a job well done to members who have shared and devoted their time, talent, and treasure during a Rotary Year will encourage and inspire other club members to also contribute their time, talent, and treasure for the Club’s activities and outreach programs.)
This Rotary Year, Presidential Awards are presented to:
1. Frank A. Evaristo (Immediate Past President) - who is being cited for: enhancing the public image of the Club thru the publication of club activities and projects in the nation’s broadsheets, thereby conveying to the reading public the commitment of Rotary as an organization which assists the government uplift communities in need of shelter, medical assistance, skills, and human development, participating in the turnover of Yolanda Rehab Projects - i.e., the library building in Tabontabon-Leyte and the shelter projects in Cadiz and Capiz; and regularly attending the meetings of the Board of Directors of the Club, thereby living up to Rotary International’s motto of Service Above Self and being a Gift to the World.
2. Teodoro J. Ocampo (Vice President / President Elect) - who is being cited for the effective and efficient management of the Rotary International’s District 3810 Conference 2016 and District Assembly 2016, and regular attendance at the meetings of the Board of Directors of the Club, thereby living up to Rotary International’s motto of Service Above Self and being a Gift to the World.
3. Jesus M. Pineda, Jr. (Director) who is being cited for: the prudent and timely consideration of membership proposals to enhance the membership base of the Club, and regular attendance at the meetings of the Board of Directors of the Club, thereby living up to Rotary International’s motto of Service Above Self and being a Gift to the World.
4. Issam Eldebs (Director) - who is being cited for overseeing the activities of the committees under Club Service Group A and regularly attending the meetings of the Board of Directors of the Club, thereby living up to Rotary International’s motto of Service Above Self and being a Gift to the World.
5. Amado D. Valdez (Director) - who is being cited for his legal advice on issues related to the Club’s management, allowing the Board to manage its Board meetings astutely, thereby living up to Rotary International’s motto of Service Above Self and being a Gift to the World.
6. Robert L. Joseph, Jr. (Director) - who is being cited for: initiating efficient fund raising activities at the Club’s weekly luncheon meetings, such as the weekly raffle; providing financial support to the major activities of the Club; managing the annual Tourism Awards; and regularly attending the meetings of the Board of Directors of the Club, thereby living up to Rotary International’s motto of Service Above Self and being a Gift to the World.
7. Mariano M. Lopez (Director) - who is being cited for facilitating and coordinating the medical mission for Medipinas and regularly attending the meetings of the Board of Directors of the Club, thereby living up to Rotary International’s motto of Service Above Self and being a Gift to the World.
8. Oscar A. del Rosario, Sr. (Director) - who is being cited for his representing the Club thru his active participation in the Lando Relief Mission in Calumpit, Bulacan, R.I. District 3810, Rotary International, and interclub affairs, thus enhancing club relations, and his regular attendance at the meetings of the Board of Directors of the Club, thereby living up to Rotary International’s motto of Service Above Self and being a Gift to the World.
9. Jorge Q. Salazar (Secretary) who is being cited for the administration of the Board’s concerns, thereby enhancing the Club’s inter-member relationships, and his regular attendance at the meetings of the Board of Directors of the Club, thereby living up to Rotary International’s motto of Service Above Self and being a Gift to the World.
10. Felix Francisco S. Zaldarriaga (Treasurer) - who is being cited as the guardian of the Club’s funds and treasure; ensuring the proper disbursement of Club funds; efficient management of Club awards selection; and attendance at the meetings of the Board of Directors of the Club, thereby living up to Rotary International’s motto of Service Above Self and being a Gift to the World.
11. David J. Reynolds (Sgt. at Arms) - who is being cited for maintaining order and discipline at the regular meetings of the Club, thereby living up to Rotary International’s motto of Service Above Self and being a Gift to the World.
12. Alvin D. Lacambacal (Assistant Secretary) - who is being cited for: assisting in the administrative concerns of the Board of Directors of the Club; facilitating international brotherly relations with foreign clubs; organizing attendance at this year’s Rotary International Convention in Seoul, Korea; execution of a Memorandum of Agreement with the Rotary Club of Osaka East for the funding of a joint project; and sharing time with the PDG RMR Rotary Information Committee to co-conduct Rotary orientation for prospective new members of the Club, thereby living up to Rotary International’s motto of Service Above Self and being a Gift to the World.
13. Raoul A. Villegas (Asst. Treasurer) - who is being cited for making himself available to manage the financial concerns of the Board of Directors of the Club, thereby living up to Rotary International’s motto of Service Above Self and being a Gift to the World.
14. Lance Masters (Deputy Sergeant at Arms) - who is being cited for actively participating in District affairs; representing the Club in various interclub affairs; and regularly attending the meetings of the Board of the Directors of the Club, thereby living up to Rotary International’s motto of Service Above Self and being a Gift to the World.
15. Crispino P. Reyes (President 1992-1993; Chairman - WF Music Committee) who is being cited for inspiring the members of the Club by heading the Club’s World Famous Chorale and sharing his office space as the venue for the singing fellowship meetings of members, thus enhancing good relations among Club members, thereby living up to Rotary International’s motto of Service Above Self and being a Gift to the World.
16. Domingo S. Guevara, Jr. (President 1996-1997; Chairman - Sunshine Committee) - who is being cited for organizing the Club’s Sunshine Committee visits to members who are sick, ill or otherwise indisposed, thereby living up to Rotary International’s motto of Service Above Self leading to being a Gift to the World.
